Yellow grease is typically used-frying oil from
deep fryers and other forms of food
production. Most biodiesel is produced from renewable plant sources. These plant sources are typically also food sources which cause a conflict between food and fuel. Yellow grease is attractive because it is inexpensive and its use converts waste into fuel through beneficial reuse. Improperly disposed of yellow grease is a leading cause of sanitary sewer disruption when poured down the drain illegally. If disposed of in the garbage grease is the leading cause of odor at landfills and composting facilities. Bridgeport BioDiesel converts this problem waste stream in to clean renewable energy. |
